Acne is a pretty broad term that can mean more than just pimples. Acne can look like blackheads, whiteheads, simple pimples, nodules and cysts. The difference really is based on how much inflammation there is, how much oil there is, is some of the oil and dead skin cells coming to the surface (whiteheads and blackheads), etc.

It turns out that 85% people will experience acne at some point in their lives, and it often starts in the teen years (you knew that already, I am sure!), and almost half of teens will have had some form of acne.

If the simple treatments here don't help or aren't enough, then it is time to see your doctor or a dermatologist who may prescribe stronger medicines to help you get through this problem.
